B.Rose

The youngest Latina to be heard on the radio, she is B.Rose. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona on the Westside. With the love for music and Britni Rose Delgado just being her natural self, she knew with radio, those would go hand in hand. Her Mother Rose and Father Morris welcomed her in to this world in July of 1992, this was also the year her favorite movie came out, Wayne's World. In her early years, she enjoyed Jazz and Hip-Hop dancing, plus she played basketball. At a young age her grandparents introduced her to oldies music. The older sister Tiffany had all the music and this was B.Rose's source. At 12 years old, B.Rose would study the culture and lyrics of hip-hop. Every poster on her wall was Tupac, where she became inspired to be ready for the world. At a young age, B.Rose took interest in radio and knew that it was perfect for her future.

She attended Westview High School and participated in basketball all four years. Her coaches Lydia, Baxter, Jones, and Dee pushed her to be great and to not give up. Her teammates, sisters, had the strongest bond. During her junior and senior years of high school, she worked at Skate Zone Roller Rink. The owner Tommy taught her to move quickly because something else always needed to get done. Life after high school hit, it was off to Phoenix Community College for B.Rose. At the beginning of the second semester of college, B.Rose decided that it was time to do a radio internship. As she searched for information on a few of her favorite stations, she got in contact with Tyler Martinez, a radio personality of 101.1 FM The Beat. Her journey for her passion began.

In February of 2011 B.Rose started her first internship at 101.1 FM The Beat and Mega 104.3 FM. She then went on to do a second internship with 101.5 Jamz. During the end of this internship, she applied for the promotions department at the two sister stations where she first interned. Matt Kirkpatrick, a legend in radio, decided to hire young "Rose" in promotions. After a few months, B.Rose met Fred Rico, the Program Director of Mega and The Beat. She was determined to make as many air checks as possible to show Rico her passion. Michael Mallace, The General Manager of KNRJ Beat and Fred Rico came to an agreement to give her a shot on air. B.Rose landed her first on air radio gig at the age of 19. She was given the opportunity to do overnights from 12 AM to 6 AM on 101.1FM. B.Rose began to grow and become more comfortable on the microphone. On June 22, 2012 The West Valley View wrote an article about B.Rose being the youngest radio personality in Arizona. In August of 2012 she landed a full time position as the weeknight jock, 7 PM to 12 AM on 101.1FM. When B.Rose cracks the mic, she will guarantee you to jam out and laugh.
